RESEARCH
Medical Data System has been working in medical high technologies for years. Always working in this scope, we have learned to understand the needs
of the doctors, to make them easy to use all the medical technology, very specific and where we have been able to get a great level of expertise.
INTENSIVE CARE UNITS IT
Since October 2008 we are performing a important task in the Virgen de La Arrixaca Hospital in Murcia: the parametrization of the medical data in
the intensive care unit. Until this date, everything was stored in papers; the unit couldn't use modern workflows that need the use of information
technologies to keep all the patient related data.
Now all the data can be properly collected and classified, allowing the doctors to have all the necessary information at the exact time to take
correct decisions.
This is a real research task since the results obtained in this hospital, one of the biggest of Spain, will be used in future deployments
in other ones. The first one will be the new Hospital La Fe at Valencia.

SPECTROSCOPY BY MR
With a conventional magnetic resonance (MR) equipment is possible to analyze the different types of metabolites that can be found in a volume,
analyzing the traces produced by the hydrogen nucleus that change depending on the molecule they belong to. The spectral analysis that we can get using a MR is very basic,
but the obtained data is a very useful source of information if it is properly processed.

OUR FUTURE
The difficulty to investigate in our field is that the knowledge in medical technologies have never comprised of the university formation,
but they are acquired when working in the sector, as it is our case, that we have come working in high tech with Picker International,
Marconi Medical, Philips Healthcare and Telefonica.
Although we do not have patents on the matter, we are working in several research projects that are in early stages.
When being so near the needs of the doctors we have believed advisable to help them in their daily tasks and, why not, in their research tasks,
taking advantage of our experience, our point of view of engineers but with healthcare knowledge. We have reorganized our small company to
favor these workings, dedicating part of our resources to make them profitable.
